Welcoming Fall in the Region
One of the most concurrent and beloved sentiments often described about the Catskills region is that our area is truly one of the best locations to experience all of the changing seasons. As we transition from a steamy and unusually wet August, we start to ease into a lifestyle that is accompanied by a more comfortable and more forgiving climate. September in the Catskills is accentuated with cooler days, cooler nights, changing colors of foliage, and the sound of the crickets and cicadas singing their final cadences as we fade gracefully into the fall season.
Our region has no shortage of activities that allow you to fully immerse and embrace the beauty that September in the Catskills area has to offer. From touring historic railroad routes by vintage steam engine, or foot powered rail car, to attending internationally recognized film festivals, you will find that our region’s diverse offerings of arts events, historical tours, festivals and outdoor recreational activities are the ideal way to welcome the fall.
