Palm Springs in the Catskill Mountains.
The Roxbury Ranch House is a gorgeous, newly constructed home, 140 miles from the George Washington Bridge. Inspired by the classic desert houses of the 60's, the Roxbury Ranch house sits regally at 1800' elevation, with sweeping views of mountains and valleys in front, and acres of wild woodland behind. The newly dug swimming pond is stream-fed, deep and clean (up to 17' ) and is the ideal Summer playground. The remaining acres are mostly a former grazing fields which flowers sweetly in the Spring and requires minimal maintenance.
The lower level has a two car garage, guest bedroom and full bath, media room, laundry room, plenty of closets and a utility room with extra room for storage. There is a multi-zone radiant floor heating system on both levels, which provides 'barefoot comfort' even on the coldest nights.
The main level holds a guest bedroom and ensuite full bath, grand living space with open kitchen and a master bedroom with an ensuite uniquely grand master bath. All of the upstairs rooms face the pond and have their own doors leading to the deck, which runs the length of the house. Most of the hardwood for the floors, vanities, stairs and shelving was sourced from a local artisan. The bathrooms are all outfitted with stylish vanities, fixtures, medicine cabinets and lighting. Each bathroom also has an overhead rain shower, infinity drain, glass enclosure and the tiles were all carefully selected.
The kitchen was created for an avid home cook. There is a high-capacity Samsung 5 burner stove beneath a high-powered vent. The microwave and dishwasher are hidden out of sight in the island, leaving ample workspace on the quartz countertops. The pantry and the under-counter drawers are deep and numerous. Custom dark walnut shelves are ideal to display dishes, bowls and glassware. To maintain a clean and uncluttered look, the electric outlets have been recessed into the counters.
